Antĭpŏlis , is, f., = Ἀντίπολις.
I. A city in Gaul, now Antibes, Plin. 3, 4, 5, § 35; Mel. 2, 5.—Hence, Antĭpŏlĭtānus , a, um, adj., of or from Antipolis: “thynni,found in that region, Mart. 13, 103; cf. id. 4, 89.—
II. An old settlement in Latium, afterwards Janiculum, Plin. 3, 5, 9, § 68.
