Byblis , ĭdis, f. (voc. Bybli, Ov. M. 9, 580; 9, 651; acc. Byblida, id. ib. 9, 453; 9, 467), = Βυβλίς,
I.a daughter of Miletus and Cyanee, who fell in love with her brother Caunus, and, being repulsed, was changed to a fountain, Ov. M. 9, 452; cf. Theocr. Id. 7, 114; acc. to Ov. A. A. 1, 283, and Hyg. Fab. 243, she hanged herself.
