Cănŭlēius , a, um,
I.the name of a Roman gens. Thus, C. Canuleius, a tribune of the people. Acc. to a law proposed by him (Canuleium plebiscitum, Cic. Rep. 2, 37, 63) A.U.C. 310, marriage between patricians and plebeians was allowed; cf. Liv. 4, 1, 1 sq.; Flor. 1, 25.
