I.a town in Macedonia, upon the peninsula Pallene, previously called Potidœa, but rebuilt by Cassander, Liv. 28, 8, 14; 44, 11, 1 sq.; Mel. 2, 3, 1; Plin. 4, 10, 17, § 36.—
