M. 5, 42; Mel. 1, 11, 3), m., = Κηφεύς, a king of Ethiopia (acc. to Mel. l. l. at Joppa, in Phoenicia), husband of Cassiope. father of Andromeda, and father-in-law of Perseus; finally placed with these three among the stars, Ov.
