I.a small town in Picenum, now Cingulo, Caes. B. C. 1, 15; Cic. Att. 7, 11, 1; also Cingŭla saxa , Sil. 10, 34, its inhabitants were called Cin-gŭlāni , Plin. 3, 13, 18, § 111.—Also adj.: Cingūlānus ager, Front. Colon. p. 121 Goes.
