I.the name of several cities, among them a city of Epirus, founded by Augustus to commemorate the battle of Actium, now Prevesa Vecchia, or Paleo-prevesa, Tac. A. 2, 53; Suet. Aug. 18.—Also a city in Lesser Armenia, built by Pompey, Auct. B. Alex. 36.
