Prō^gnē or Prō^cnē , ēs, f., = Πρόκνη,
I. Daughter of Pandion, king of Athens, sister of Philomela, and wife of Tereus; she was changed into a swallow: “natae ex Philomelā atque ex Progne hirundines,Plaut. Rud. 3, 1, 12; Ov. M. 6, 440 sq.
