1. Of discourse: “quidquid ego apprehenderam statim accusator extorquebat e manibus,” whatever I had brought forward, alleged, Cic. Clu. 19, 52: “nisi caute adprehenditur,” is laid hold of, employed, Quint. 10, 2, 3.—
