II. A patient confined to his bed, Hier. Ep. 105, n. 5.—
III. A bearer of the bier, sexton, grave-digger, Mart. 3, 93, 24 (al. archiclinico; cf. id. 1, 31).—
IV. One who was baptized when sick or infirm, Cypr. Ep. 69 fin.
