crŏcum , i, n., and crŏcus , i, m. (
I.fem., App. M. 10, p. 255, 30), = κρόκος, saffron: Crocus sativus, Linn.; masc. usu. of the plant, neutr. of the essence, etc., but the distinction is not closely observed.
