I.a man-slayer, homicide, a murderer, murderess (syn.: interfector, sicarius, percussor).
II. In a good sense, as a transl. of the Homeric ἀνδροφόνος, an epithet of Hector, slayer of men, Hor. Epod. 17, 12.
