I.of or belonging to the lute or lyre, lyric: “lyrici soni,Ov. F. 2, 94: “vates,Hor. C. 1, 1, 35: “senex,” i. e. Anacreon, Ov. Tr. 2, 364: “regnator lyricae cohortis,” i. e. Pindar, Stat. S. 4, 7, 5.— Subst.
