I.v. the foll.; and cf. Cic. Or. 48, 160; Quint. 1, 5, 20; and the letter P), i, m. cf. θρίαμβος, a hymn in honor of Bacchus.

II. A solemn and magnificent entrance of a general into Rome after having obtained an important victory, a triumphal procession, triumph (cf. Smith, Antiq. 1163 sqq.): “disseres de triumpho.
