ob+fundo, to pour before, pour out: ut piscibus aqua offunditur, i. e. surrounds.—To cover, overspread: ut offunditur luce solis lumen lucernae, eclipsed.—Fig., to pour out upon, spread over: quasi noctem quandam rebus: offusa rei p. nox: omnium rerum terrorem oculis et auribus, L.: tantā offusā oculis animoque religione, L.: offusus pavore, Ta.: Marcellorum meum pectus memoria obfudit, has filled.
