Algĭdus Mons

A range of mountains in Latium, extending south from Praenesté to Mt. Albanus, cold, but covered with wood, and containing good pasturage. On it was situated the town of Algidum. It was an ancient seat of the worship of Diana. From it the Aequi usually made their incursions into the Roman territory.
