Genĕtrix

“The mother,” a name used by Ovid, as a title of Cybelé, in the place of mater, or magna mater; but it is better known as a surname of Venus (Lucret. i. 1), to whom Caesar dedicated a temple at Rome, as the mother of the Julian gens.
