Hippocentaurus

ἱπποκένταυρος). A horse-centaur, half-horse and half-man (Cic. N. D. ii. 2), as opposed to the fish-centaur, half-man and half-fish (ἰχθυοκένταυρος), under which form the giants who waged war against the gods, were represented (Apollod. i.6.1). See Centaurus.
