（Σάφαρ), Sapphar (Σάπφαρ), and Taphar (Τάφαρον). Now Dhafar; a city of Arabia on the southern coast of Arabia Felix. It was the capital of the Homeritae to whom the Sapharitae belonged (Ptol.vi. 6, 25).
