Sarus

Σάρος). Now Seihan; a considerable river in the southeast of Asia Minor. Rising in the Anti-Taurus, in the centre of Cappadocia, it flows south past Comana to the borders of Cilicia, where it receives a western branch that has run nearly parallel to it; and thence, flowing through Cilicia Campestris in a winding course, it falls into the sea a little east of the mouth of the Cydnus and southeast of Tarsus (Xen. Anab. i. 4, 1).
