AMICTO´RIUM

AMICTO´RIUM a linen covering for the breasts of women, probably the same as the strophium. [STROPHIUM] (Mart. 14.149.) In later times it seems to have been used in the same sense as Amictus. (Cod. Theod. 8, tit. 5, s. 48.) [AMICTUS]
