ANDRON

ANDRON (ἀνδρών), a word which may be applied to any room in the ἀνδρωνῖτις, or men's quarters, in the Greek house, but is often used specially to denote the dining-room, where the Symposia took place (Xen. Symp. 1.1. 3; Suid. s. v.). [DOMUS (Greek).]
