ALE´SIAE

ALE´SIAE (Ἀλεσίαι), a village in Laconia, on the road from Therapne to Mt. Taygetus, is placed by Leake nearly in a line between the southern extremity of Sparta and the site of Bryseae. (Paus. 3.20.2; Leake, Peloponnesiaca, p. 164.)
