A´NNIBI MONTES

A´NNIBI MONTES (τά Ἄννιβα ὄρη, Ptol. 6.16), ANNIVA (Amm. Marc. 23.6), one of the principal mountain chains of Asia, in the extreme NE. of Scythia, and running into Serica: corresponding, apparently, to the Little Altai or the NE. part of the Altai chain.
