ARBA

ARBA (Arbe), an island off the coast of Illyria. (Plin. Nat. 3.21.25.) Ptolemy (2.16 [17]. § 13) calls Arba and Collentum two towns in the island of Scardona. He appears to have confounded the island of Arba with the small island to the south, now called Scardo, Scarda or Scordo. (Forbiger, vol. iii. p. 845.)
