ARDABDA

ARDABDA, ARDAUDA (Ἀρδάβδα, Ἀρδαύδα), signifying the city of the seven gods, was the name given by the Alani or the Tauri to the city of THEODOSiA on the Tauric Chersonese. (Anon. Peripl. Pont. Eux. p. 5.)
