ARIA

ARIA is mentioned by Florez, Ukert, and other writers as a town of Hispania Baetica, on the authority of coins bearing the inscriptions ARIA. CNARIA. CUNBARIA.; but Eckhel regards the name of the place to which these coins belong as uncertain (vol. i. p. 14). Ukert supposes the site of Aria to be at [p. 1.210]Arizzo, near Seville (vol. i. pt. ii. p. 376; Florez, Med. de Esp. i. p. 156, iii. p. 8).
