ARUALTES (
ὁ Ἀρουάλτης ὄρος, a mountain of Inner Libya, placed by Ptolemy a little to the N. of the Equator, in 33° long. and 3° N. lat., in a part of Central Africa now entirely unknown.
In it were the peoples Nabathrae (
Ναβάθραι) and Xulicces (
Ξυλικκεῖς Αἰθίοπες), the latter extending to M. Arangas. (
