BANACHA

BANACHA (Βάναχα, or, according to another reading, Nachaba), a city of that part of Arabia Petraea which was situated towards Mesopotamia. (Ptol. 5.19.7.) Forster takes it to be equivalent to Beni-Nachath, i. e. the sons of Nahath, one of the [p. 1.376]dukes of Edom, the son of Reuel, the son of Esau. (Gen. 36.4; Forster, Arabia, vol.ii.p. 52.)
