A town in the extreme S. of Hispania Baetica, 10 M. P. from CALPE on the road to Malaca (It. Ant. p. 406), identified by some with BARBESULA. (Wesseling, ad loc.) It is usually supposed to be near Ximena de la Frontera; but this seems very doubtful. (Ukert, vol. ii. pt. 1 p. 347.) 2. [AUTRIGONES] [P.S]
