BERO´THA

BERO´THA (Βηρώθη), mentioned only by Josephus as a city of Upper Galilee, not far from Cadesh (Naphthali) (Ant. 5.1.18). He makes it the scene of the decisive battle which Joshua fought with the northern kings, “at the waters of Merom.” (Josh. 11.1--9.)
