BETHLEHEM

BETHLEHEM (Βαιθλεέμ, Βαιθμάν), a city of the tribe of Zebulun. (Josh. 19.15). The site and name are preserved in the modern village of Beitlahem, a few miles north of Nazareth, and eastward of Sephûrieh (formerly Diocaesarea).
