BITAXA

BITAXA (Βιτάξα, Ptol. 6.17.4, 8.25.4: [p. 1.404]Amm. Marc. 23.6), a town in Aria, perhaps the same as the Βίς of Isidorus (p. 8), if, indeed, there were two towns of this name, one in Aria, and the other in Arachosia.
