CADRUSI

Eth. CADRUSI (Plin. Nat. 6.23. s. 25), a district on the Indian Caucasus or Paropamisus, in which was situated the Alexandreia founded by Alexander the Great on his march into Bactria. (Arrian, 3.28, [p. 1.464]4.22.) Solinis (100.54) appears to have misunderstood the words of Pliny, and to have inferred that there was a city there called Cadrusia; for which, however, there is no authority.
