CALLINU´SA

CALLINU´SA (Καλλίνουσα==Καλὴ Νῆσος̣), a promontory to the NW. of Cyprus, which Ptolemy (5.14.4) places to the W. of Soli. D'Anville (Mém. de l'Acad. des Inscr. vol. xxxii. p. 537), from one Venetian map, gives it the name of Eleni, and from another Venetian map, Capo de Alessandreta.
