CECRYPHALEIA

CECRYPHALEIA (Κεκρυφάλεια; Cecryphalos, Plin.: Kyra), a small island in the Saronic gulf, between Aegina and the coast of Epidaurus, near which the Aeginetans were defeated by the Corinthians, about B.C. 458. (Thuc. 1.105; Diod. 11.78; Plin. Nat. 4.12. s. 19; Steph. B. sub voce Boblaye, Recherches, &c. p. 63.)
