CELENNA

CELENNA a town of Campania, mentioned only by Virgil (Aen. 7.739) who appears to place it (in conjunction with Rufrae and Batulum) on the borders of the Campanian plain. Servius (ad loc.) says “locus est Campaniae, sacer Junoni.” We find no other mention of it, and its situation is unknown.
