CHAUS

CHAUS The Roman general Cn. Manlius marched from Tabae in Pisidia in three days, or perhaps not three whole days to the river Chaus. (Liv. 38.14.) His line of march was to Thabusion on the Indus, and thence to Cibyra. The Chaus must have been one of the upper branches of the Indus (Dalamon Tchy).
