COETAE

COETAE (Κοῖται), are mentioned by Xenophon at the end of the Anabasis (7.8.25) among the nations that the Ten Thousand passed through. They are mentioned between the Mossynoeci and the Tibareni. The name does not occur in any other part of the work, nor elsewhere.
