The lake Coloë is probably the Ψέβωα
of Strabo (xvii. p.822
), and is the modern Lake Dembea
There was also in Aethiopia a town named Coloe (Κολόη πόλις, Ptol. 4.7.25
) of which the site is uncertain (Arrian, Peripl. Mar. Erythr.
p. 3; Mannert. Geograph.
vol. xii. p. 167).
