CORTUOSA

CORTUOSA a town of Etruria, taken and destroyed by the Romans, B.C. 388. (Liv. 6.4.) It appears to have been situated in the territory of Tarquinii, and a mere dependency of that city, as well as Contenebra, mentioned in the same passage. Both are otherwise, wholly unknown.
