CRO´MMYON

CRO´MMYON (Κρομμύων ἄκρα, Ptol. 5.14.3; Κρομμύου ἄκρα, Strab. xiv. pp. 669, 682; Κρομμυακόν, Stadiasm. § 294; Cic. ad Fam. 12.13: Cormachite), the most N. point of the island of Cyprus, NW. of Lapethus. It lay opposite to Cape Anemurium of Cilicia, from which it was distant 350 stadia. (Strab. xiv. p.682; Engel, Kypros, vol. i. p. 77.)
