DYMAE

DYMAE, DYME (Δύμη), a town in the south of Thrace, on the western bank of the river Hebrus, and not far from its mouth. (Ptol. 3.11.13; Itin. Ant. 333; Geogr. Rav. 4.6; Itin. Hier. 602, where it is called Demae.) It is identified with the modern Feredsjik.
