GAZO´RUM

GAZO´RUM the same as Zagorum, Zagorus, or Zagora (Ζάψωρα, Ζάψωρον, Ζάψωρος), a town of Paphlagonia, on the Euxine, between Sinope and the river Halys. (Arrian, Peripl. P. Eux. p. 15; Marcian Heracl. p. 73; Ptol. 5.4.5, where it is called Ζάψειρα.)
