GIRGIRI

Eth. GIRGIRI, M. (τὸ Γίργιπι Γίργυρις ὄρος), a mountain of Libya Interior, above the Regio Syrtica, containing the sources of the river CINYPS (Ptol. 4.6. § § 11, 17.) It is probably the Mons Gyri of Pliny (5.5) and the GRATIARUM COLLIS of Herodotus.
