GOGANA

GOGANA (Γώγανα, Arrian, Ind. c. 38), a small place on the coast of Persis, to which the fleet of Nearchus came, at the mouth of a small stream or torrent called the Areon. It is now called Konkún. (Vincent, Voy. of Nearchus, vol. i. p. 385.)
