HELVECO´NAE (Αἰλουαίωνες, Ptol. 2.11.17), a tribe of the north of Germany, on the west of the Vistula, between the Rugii and Burgundiones.
According to Tacitus (Germ. 43), the Helveconae were one of the bravest tribes of the Lygii. [L.S]
