JULIANO´POLIS

JULIANO´POLIS (Ἰουλιανούπολις), a town in Lydia which is not mentioned until the time of Hierocles (p. 670), according to whom it was situated close to Maeonia, and must be looked for in the southern parts of Mount Tmolus, between Philadelphia and Tralles. (Comp. Plin. Nat. 5.29.)
