MANDANE

MANDANE (Μανδάνη), a town on the coast of Cilicia, between Celenderis, and Cape Pisidium, from which it was only 7 stadia distant (Stadiasm. §§ 174, 175.) It is probably the same place as the Myanda or Mysanda in Pliny (5.27); and if so, it must also be identical with the town of Myus (Μυούς) mentioned by Scylax (p. 40) between Nagidus and Celenderis.
