MASSIA´NI

Eth. MASSIA´NI (Μασσιανοί, Strab. xv. p.698), a people who dwelt in the NE. part of India, beyond the Panjáb, between the Cophes and the Indus. They are mentioned by Strabo in connection with the Astaceni and Aspasii, and must therefore have dwelt along the mountain range to the N. of the Kábul river.
